The hoodies behind Zerocopter

Chloe Hollman

Welcome back to one of our favourite blog series, where a different member of the team is introduced on the second Monday of each month. In these posts, you can find out more about the hoodies behind Zerocopter!

This month we are happy to introduce you to our Customer Success Manager, Chloe Hollman, who is taking the happiness of our clients in her hands everyday! Of course, Chloe also takes into account the best interests of our hackers, to make sure everyone is happy!

Please tell us a bit about yourself, who is Chloe Hollman?

I am a customer success manager at Zerocopter. My biggest passion in life is traveling. This is why, in 2018, I decided to leave my tiny tropical island in the middle of the Pacific ocean to move to Europe. Why on earth would I do that, you may ask? Simply to broaden my horizons, discover new cultures (and new food!), and have new career opportunities.

How would you describe your job title in a couple of words?

My role at Zerocopter covers everything customer-related while keeping our hackers’ best interests in mind. Basically, I am here to make sure everyone is happy and to help as much as possible!

What do you like about working in Customer Success at Zerocopter?

I’ve always loved helping people. Listening, making sure the customers are understood, and finding creative solutions to solve problems are qualities that I value greatly. Knowing that our customers are happy is so rewarding!

If you could trade positions with anyone in Zerocopter for a day, who would it be and why?

I would love to trade places with Lars, our Senior UX designer. Creating cool UX that is also coherent and intuitive is a challenge I would love to take on!

What have you learned from working at Zerocopter?

I have learned a lot about the importance of having continuous online security. I also take my own internet security more seriously than before. Now I always make sure my browser is up-to-date ;).

When was the first time that you heard about the term “Bug Bounty” or “Responsible Disclosure/Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure”?

When I saw the ad for this position. I did some research before applying and a whole new world opened up.

What resources would you recommend to someone (new) in this industry?

As someone new to the industry, learning about cybersecurity for the first time can be quite daunting. I would recommend finding a podcast such as Darknet Diaries. It covers true stories from the dark side of the Internet.

What is your favourite stereotype about the hacking industry and why?

Since working here, all the stereotypes I might have heard in the past have all been debunked – except maybe the hoodie-wearing part. I mean, who doesn’t like to wear hoodies anyway?

We hope you enjoyed getting to know Chloe a little better! Stay tuned for our next post in July!
